If you are allowed to edit pages in this Site, simply click on edit button at the bottom of the page. This will open an editor.

Create a New Article (Page)

To create a link to a new article (a "page"), use syntax:

[[new page name]] 

or, if you wish something other than the article title to appear in the link:

[[new page name | text to display]]

Follow the link (it will be red in colour) to create a new page and instantly edit it!

Don't have a logical parent page? Just type the proposed name in the search box. Assuming such a pages doesn't already exist, there is an option on the search results page to "Create the page "Proposed Name" on this wiki!" Just click and edit.

Creating and editing pages is easy and there are many options that let you to create powerful sites!

Games, Cheers, etc.

Some categories are set up to automatically include references to all articles of a give category, so you do not need to put the article reference as show above. These include Games, Cheers, Recipe, Skills, and more.

To create one of these articles, simply enter the article name in the search box (upper right corner). If an article with that name is not already present, click on the "Create the page" link, where the article title appears in red. Be sure to add the [[Category:...]] tag, so it can be found by others!

Using Images

Using JPG images for photos, and PNG or GIF for badges and other graphics (which can be given transparent backgounds) can really add to an article. Add the follow code to the desired page. Use a descriptive filename (doesn't have to be the same as the file on your computer) and use the same extension as the actual file type.


The "200px" limits the display size to 200 pixels and "right" floats it to the right side of the page. Save the page and a red "filename.jpg" will appear. Click on it and you will be directed to an upload page.

Adding Files

One way to upload a file is to first put a reference to it in an article, something like this:

For more information see this file:  [[Media:MyFile.pdf]]

(This way, the file is referenced somewhere... rather than just being uploaded out of context.)

Save the page, click the red link, and press the "Choose File" button to select the file from your computer. Press the "upload file" button when ready.

To get fancy, you can replace the file name with the desired display text this way:

[[Media:MyFile.pdf|For more information see this file.]]

Adding Videos

To add a video from YouTube, use the following code:


To use other popular video hosting sites, consult the VideoFlash extension documentation. (Don't worry, it's easy!)

Redirected Articles

We seem to have many names for the same thing. Rather than having different articles for the same topic, redirect them to one common page. A simple, one-line redirect directive is all that is needed.

Renaming Articles

Sometimes after adding an article, you may find it better suits it under a different name. The "move" feature will do this for you, keeping the article history, and placing a redirect page using the old article name. Help:Moving a page

Note of Caution:

Be careful editing "system" pages! I changed this page but luckily I was able to return it back to the original. Fortunately, all articles can be rolled back to previous versions.
