The sections younger than Troop have their own promises, focusing on the goals and expectations of those sections. Starting September 1, 2020, a new alternate Promise was permitted for each Section to allow for inclusiveness of personal beliefs.

Contents

Beaver Scouts

I promise to love God and to help take care of the world.

or,

I promise to be kind and to help take care of the world.

Cub Scouts

I promise to do my best,
To love and serve God,
To do my duty to the Queen;
To keep the law of the Wolf Cub pack;
And to do a good turn for somebody every day.

or,

I promise to do my best,
To be true to myself,
To do my duty to my country;
To keep the law of the Wolf Cub Pack,
And to do a good turn for somebody every day.

Scouts, Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts, and Scouters

On my honour;
I promise that I will do my best,
To do my duty to God and the Queen,
To help other people at all times,
And to carry out the spirit of the Scout Law.

or,

On my honour;
I promise that I will do my best,
To respect my country and my beliefs,
To help other people at all times;
and to carry out the spirit of the Scout Law.
