Scouts Canada's Venturer Scouts program emphasizes activities which encourage Venturer Scouts to:
- show that they can care and live according to their personal values and religious beliefs
- develop and use the skills of communicating, solving problems and making decisions
- explore vocational opportunities
- participate in a variety of social, cultural and spiritual activities
- become aware of and respond to needs of the community and the environment
- The Amory Adventure Award
- The Queen's Venturer Award
- Canadian Trails Award
- Religion in Life Award / Spirituality Award
- Scout to Venturer Link Badge
Venturer Scouts may also choose to work towards one of the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards.
