Scouting relies heavily on fundraising to keep the costs of activities down. There are three nationally approved fundraisers, Apple Day, Scoutrees, and Scout Popcorn.

Groups may choose to run additional fundraisers so long as they comply with BP&P Section 11000 - Accounting and Fundraising Principles. Your group should send a copy of their plan for the fundraiser to the council office for review. They will help you ensure that all the important bases are covered such as having a freezer to store the frozen pizza in between the group receiving it and delivery to the customers. (Yep it has happened. There was a lot of spoiled frozen pizza that the council had to pay to replace because the mistake bankrupted the group.)
