Yoho Scout Reserve
The Yoho Scout Reserve is located just south-west of Fredericton off the Hanwell Road along the shores of Yoho Lake. The Yoho Scout Reserve property has 700 acres of forested land and has a sandy lakeside area for water activities.
There are two all-season lodges. The Jensen Lodge, with a wood stove for heating and propane powered cooking and lights, is suitable for small groups. The full sized Baird Scout Lodge along with its Chad O'Quinn extension wing is a huge facility and can accommodate several large Scouting groups at once. The lodge is fully contained, complete with showers, washrooms and a huge restaurant styled kitchen and dining area.
There are also outdoor camping opportunities in a tenting area located at the G.L. Miller Campground which includes several dozen enclosed camp sites and two property administration buildings.
The Reserve has an extensive array of nature trails, hiking and biking trails as well as a large waterfront boathouse containing canoeing resources. Next to the Baird Lodge is a large, baseball field sized, playing field.
