National Youth Commissioner
The National Youth Commissioner works as an equal partner to the Chief Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer to round off our National Key 3, and to provide national leadership and vision to Scouts Canada. The National Youth Commissioner also serves as the chair of the National Youth Network and as a member of the Board of Governors. Following a by-law amendment in 2014, the National Youth Commissioner is considered an officer of the board.
- This position used to be known as the Deputy Executive Commissioner - Youth (DEC-Y).
The National Youth Commissioner ensures that the youth of Scouts Canada are involved and engaged in every decision that relates to their Scouting experience; advocates for young volunteers throughout the movement; and ensures that youth leadership development opportunities are provided for all youth members.
