The 28th Ottawa Scouting Group will be travelling to Peru this August to pursue a Scout Brotherhood community development project. We are an active, fun, organized group that is partnering with a Canadian nongovernmental organization to lay water pipe/install plumbing into nursery and primary schools in Chincha Alta, Peru. An earthquake devastated the area in 2007 and there is still much work to be done. After the construction we will be heading to Cuzco, Peru where we will spend four days hiking the fabled Inca Trail and exploring the Machu Picchu World Heritage Site. The trip will be a busy and hugely rewarding experience for all.
