Participants= 1 Scouter and 7 Youth or 2 Scouters and 5 Youth
Needed but= Picnic Table or 2 Chairs or 1 Bench(if available)
1 Scouter acts as the Narrator and welcomes everyone to The Bell Tower in Notre Dame and points to 1 Youth standing on the Table/Chair/Bench and introduces the Youth as Quasimodo.
- Quasimodo looks depressed and sighs.
- Narrator
- What's wrong Quasimodo?
- Quasimodo
- I'm tired and stressed.
- Narrator
- Why don't you take a vacation?
- Quasimodo
- I wish I could but then who would ring the Bell?
- Narrator
- Why don't you put up a "help Wanted" poster?
- Quasimodo
- That's a great idea
Quasimodo leaves the "Bell Tower" and puts up posters around "Notre Dame" then returns
- Quasimodo
- I hope someone sees the poster
Enter a second Youth that sees the poster
- 2nd Youth
- "help wanted" someone to ring the Bell in The Tower. That sounds like just the job for me
2nd Youth "climbs" the "tower" and meets Quasimodo
- 2nd Youth
- Excuse me but I'm here to see about the job
- Quasimodo
- I need a vacation but can't leave the "tower" so while I'm gone someone has to ring the "Bell".
- 2nd Youth
- Well I could do that...it doesn't sound THAT hard.
- Quasimodo
- it's not. All you have to do is ring the Bell on time.

- it's easy. just run at the bell and hit it with your head. like this

- Narrator speaks in a normal tone bong

2nd Youth tries a couple more times and begins to hold their head as the Narrator says bong slightly louder each time

- it will at first. just be careful you don't want to get to close the the bell.

- the bell likes to swing. Anyway I'm going on vacation now.
Quasimodo leaves the tower and returns to the Section
- Narrator
- says "as the time comes to ring the bell"
- 2nd Youth rings the bell and "falls off the table" and lays on the ground
- AAAHHHHHHHHHHH
