From Scouts Canada Wiki
- Welcome to Scouts Canada Wiki! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the help pages. Again, welcome and have fun! SteveMatheson (talk) 20:24, 29 October 2017 (EDT)
- Thank you, Steve Matheson! I look forward to contributing here. Is there anything in particular I should know before wiki-ing like crazy, or is this just a normal wiki?
Thanks, TheGoodAndHolyLord (talk) 21:48, 29 October 2017 (EDT)
- Thanks Daniel. At first, I was reluctant to approve a blasphemous user name, but I'm relieved to see you being a good contributor. I'm not sure what a "normal wiki" is, or if this qualifies. Like any wiki, this needs content! There is a lot of pre-path content and needs to stay, but somehow be marked as "old" or "reference", or "the way things once were", as to not confuse people. At least the user experience flow needs to favour Path relevant content. There are a lot of bad links to scouts.ca, as they like to keep reorganizing their web site and, for whatever reason, don't like to keep established URLs working (even if they appear in their own documentation, trail cards, etc.). Content to help with the Canadian Path program, to help with OAS badges, etc. is always appreciated. Don't remove or degrade the work of others or the past and respect the style of others. More images may been needed to keep the campfire blanket theme going for articles that lack them. Any questions, just ask! Glad to have the help. --SteveMatheson (talk) 08:46, 31 October 2017 (EDT)
